Made in Lahti – a luminaire series for an iconic Finnish lighting manufacturer
Airam wanted to expand its domestic product range from professional luminaires to home lighting. We designed two new collections, Karisto and Laune, each including a table lamp and two pendant lamps in different sizes and three color options. Metal was chosen as the primary material, enabling production at Airam’s own factory in Lahti, Finland.
The design is based on Nordic interior style and Airam’s practical design language. The goal was to bring to the market a new iconic and domestic design product that is affordable for most people.
The luminaires have been awarded both the Key Flag and the Design from Finland mark.
