SmartStoreTM provides clever solutions for modern living and solves everyday storage challenges. The new product family needed redeem its place as part of Scandinavian home.
Orthex had a need to develop a stylish small storing box system which is suitable for many spaces and purposes at home. New series was designed as a part of the SmartStoreTMproduct family which is the leading storing brand in Scandinavia.
When starting the design work we needed to take into consideration how to fulfill SmartStoreTMseries design principles and promise “Clever solutions for modern living”. The objectives was to find solutions to everyday storage challenges by considering different spaces at home and products that need special attention in storing. In addition to this new series needed to have long lasting design and fit to Scandinavian home without forgetting the quality impression and durability.
The new SmartStoreTMCompact series has four different sizes which are possible to stack in two different ways. The series takes account modularity between different sizes with lid and without. This modularity and selection of different sizes enables using system for organizing in different areas at home. Series is suitable for storing everything from makeup and hygiene products to small foodstuff etc. in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. The clear version shows the products inside and thus is especially convenient for refrigerator use. The stylish series is also a nice way to decorate and organize your desktops in the kitchen and the office. Series is also a good complement to Orthex SmartStore™ portfolio.
In addition to product design assignments, we updated the SmartStoreTMidentity to meet the needs of a modern design brand and is at the same level as high-quality products. This way we created stylish and informative entity to the retail which communicates quality brand in all levels.
