KONE’s mission is to improve the flow of urban life.

Customer-centricity and innovations are at the focal point of KONE’s core operations, through which KONE tackles the continuous need for change and megatrends such as urbanization and technological disruption. As one of the leaders in the elevator and escalator industry, KONE provides elevators, escalators and automatic building doors, as well as solutions for maintenance and modernization, which add value to the life cycle of any building. KONE makes people’s journeys safe, convenient and reliable, in taller, smarter buildings.

Through a collaborative partnership since 2011, we have succeeded to set up a foundation for a uniform visitor experience across KONE sites and locations together with the global brand team. The purpose of the visitor experience is to create unforgettable experiences at the various types of KONE buildings such as factories, testing laboratories, offices and KONE events. By doing so, it naturally strengthens the KONE brand message.

The concept was originally piloted at three different locations in Finland, including Tytyri, a testing laboratory, where a unique elevator test shaft reaching a depth of 350 meters can be found. Since then, the concept has been implemented globally in showrooms, offices and various kind of events.

The Customer Visit Experience (CVE) -concept includes guidelines for production of the desired visitor experience across the many touchpoints where KONE interacts with their customers and other stakeholders. Collectively and produced in alignment they communicate the KONE expertise and further invigorate the brand experience.

We have also completed a range of other singular projects where the CVE-concept has been adapted for events, showrooms, storytelling and experiential spaces with the purpose of showcasing KONE innovations, services and launches. The concept has also been used to brief partner agencies, as source of inspiration internally and as supporting material for numerous productions globally.

The original concept is already in its second iteration, making sure that the brand experience continues to be fresh and relevant for years to come. Together with KONE we have built on the existing design and created a more experiential and interactive concept. For example, the new KONE Showroom concept is designed around the idea of a city, where KONE products and services are tried and tested in the context of how they are used in specific buildings. This demonstrates the KONE expertise in People Flow and the product benefits in a much more memorable and engaging way for their customers.
